{HER LEGACY}

Since the Holocaust, Livia Bitton-Jackson has written many books about her experiences during the Holocaust, after the Holocaust, and re-visiting the Holocaust.  She graduated from New York University with a PhD in Hebrew culture and Jewish history.  Livia taught at City University of New York as a professor for thirty-seven years.  She has received many awards like the Christopher Award, the Eleanor Roosevelt Humanitarian Award, and the Jewish Heritage Award.  Currently Elli lives in Israel with her husband, children, and grandchildren.  Livia Bitton-Jackson has created her own legacy by writing books, speaking about her experiences, and teaching others to how to learn from the Holocaust.
